ARLINGTON, Texas – The AFC and NFC championship games of the 2025-26 National Football League playoffs are slated to feature 21 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic alumni across the active rosters of the four participating teams.
The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks lead the way with seven Cotton Bowl Classic alums each, followed by the New England Patriots with four and Los Angeles Rams with three, giving the Classic at least one alum on its active roster of all four teams vying for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.
Ohio State and Southern California pace the list of Classic alums with four each, followed by Oklahoma with three. Former Sooner standout Rhamondre Stevenson earned the J. Curtis Sanford Trophy as the Offensive Most Valuable Player in the 85th Classic in 2020, rushing for a career-high 186 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown in an offensive explosion that saw Oklahoma amass a Cotton Bowl record 684 total yards of total offense.
Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., is set for Sunday, Feb. 8 on NBC and Peacock.
