ARLINGTON, Texas – The 27th edition of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest Presented by Amazon celebrated another remarkable year with 10,186 entries and $75,000 distributed to support art teachers and strengthen art programs across North Texas.
The beloved Classic tradition, supported by Amazon for the third consecutive year, combined dollars from Amazon, the Cotton Bowl Foundation and College Football Playoff Foundation to distribute $500 grants to art teachers and educators across 150 schools in 28 school districts for art supplies and to support art-centric programs for elementary students.
The students' submissions have been laminated to be distributed as gifts at selected events and activities during the 2025 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 90th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The first-, second- and third-place winners per category are set to have their artwork proudly displayed at their respective schools and AT&T Stadium inside the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association office throughout the year.
This year's winners and their art teachers are scheduled to be recognized during in-school award ceremonies as well as celebrated with an in-game recognition during the 2025 CFP Quarterfinal at the 90th Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN Radio.

"Our Art Contest continues to be one of our most meaningful traditions," said W. Kelvin Walker, Chair, Cotton Bowl Athletic Association and Cotton Bowl Foundation. "Each year, we're reminded of the power of creativity and how art enriches the educational journey, especially for young students discovering their talents. We're grateful to Amazon for helping us amplify the connection between learning, imagination and the spirit of college football."
The Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest has been a treasured part of the bowl experience for more than three decades. The contest ran consecutively for 23 years before taking a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Art Contest has made a triumphant return in conjunction with the 87th Classic. Through this year's 90th Classic, the Art Contest has enjoyed exponential growth, shattering previous records for entries, elementary schools participating and dollars distributed.
