ARLINGTON, Texas – The divisional round of the 2022-23 National Football League playoffs is slated to feature 37 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic alumni across the active rosters of the eight participating teams.

The Cincinnati Bengals with seven and Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles each with six lead the way featuring the most Cotton Bowl Classic alums. Each of the eight teams still alive in the NFL playoffs boasts at one Classic alum on its active roster.

Among the alums set to be on the field and sidelines this weekend are Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, who starred for Nebraska in the 71st Classic in 2007 and four who earned Classic Most Valuable Player honors. Clemson's Trevor Lawrence (83rd Classic in 2018) earned the J. Curtis Sanford Trophy as Offensive MVP. The two Felix R. McKnight Trophy recipients as Defensive MVP are going to be on opposite sides of the same field when Penn State's Micah Parsons (84th Classic in 2019) and the Dallas Cowboys take on Fumagalli, Alabama's DeMeco Ryans (70th Classic in 2006), in his sixth season with the franchise and second as defensive coordinator, and the San Francisco 49ers.

The AFC and NFC Championship games are scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 29. Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., is set for Sunday, Feb. 12 on FOX.
