ARLINGTON, Texas – The game time for the 2025 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 90th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 31 has been set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN Radio.
 
The Classic is being played in primetime for the third straight year. The 90th edition marks the first time the game will be played as a CFP Quarterfinal matchup and the fifth time as a CFP matchup – (2015 [80th], 2018 [83rd], 2021 [86th], 2025 [89th]) – with the four previous being CFP Semifinal games.
 
This marks just the fourth time in its storied history that the Cotton Bowl Classic is being played on New Year's Eve – 31st Classic on Dec. 31, 1966 (Georgia 24, SMU), 80th Classic on Dec. 31, 2015 (Alabama 38, Michigan State 0) and 86th Classic on Dec. 31, 2021 (Alabama 27, Cincinnati 6).
