ARLINGTON, Texas – The game dates for the 93rd, 94th, 95th and 96th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classics have been finalized with the game serving as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup three times and a CFP Semifinal matchup once during this four-season span.
 
The announced dates are:
 
2028-29 Season – 2029 CFP Quarterfinal at the 93rd Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Monday, Jan. 1, 2029.

2029-30 Season – 2030 CFP Semifinal at the 94th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Friday, Jan. 11, 2030.

2030-31 Season – 2031 CFP Quarterfinal at the 95th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2031.
 
2031-32 Season – 2031 CFP Quarterfinal at the 96th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2031.
 
Previously announced, the 2028 CFP Semifinal at the 92nd Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is set for Friday, Jan. 14, 2028. The Jan. 14 date will mark the latest date for a Cotton Bowl Classic to be played.
 
Entering the upcoming 2026-27 season, the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic has served as a CFP game five times (one Quarterfinal and four Semifinals) and hosted the 2015 CFP National Championship and the 107th Rose Bowl Game, which was a 2021 CFP Semifinal matchup.
