CORAL GABLES, Florida – The No. 10 seed Miami Hurricanes (11-2, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) practiced for approximately two hours on Saturday morning as they continued preparations for the 2025 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 90th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The high-energy workout in full pads included practice segments indoors as well as outdoors in the bright sunshine and 80-degree temperatures of South Florida. The workout mimicked a typical Tuesday practice of a normal game week. Prior to the practice, the Canes held position meetings.

The Hurricanes will face the No. 2 seed Ohio State Buckeyes on New Year's Eve with a berth in the CFP Semifinals on the line. Miami will be looking to ride the momentum of an opening round 10-3 road win over the No. 7 seed Texas A&M in College Station.

The Hurricanes and Buckeyes are meeting for the fifth time in the history of their storied programs.

"Today's practice was a 'game week' Tuesday practice – full pads. Really good intensity, physicality and worked with intent," said Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal. "We're looking forward to cleaning some things up and continuing our preparation."

Miami will travel to North Texas on Sunday to begin on-site preparations for Wednesday night's showdown at AT&T Stadium.

The 2025 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 90th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN Radio. Kickoff is slated for 6:40 p.m.
