ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cotton Bowl Athletic Association congratulates the Dallas Sports Commission, City of Dallas, City of Arlington, Jones family, Dallas Cowboys and AT&T Stadium on being named one of 11 U.S. sites selected to host matches for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.

The Dallas Bid Committee, coordinated by Dallas Sports Commission Executive Director and CBAA Board of Directors member Monica Paul and FC Dallas President Dan Hunt, worked tirelessly and extensively to put together the proposal that rallied a number of North Texas stakeholders, which also included FC Dallas, DFW Airport and Love Field. The collective collaboration resulted in being awarded World Cup matches to be played at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Cowboys and Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

"Today is a historic day for all of us in North Texas," said Dave Brown, CBAA Chairman and American Airlines Center Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. "Our community has come together once again to bring one of the most prestigious sporting events back to our region. We congratulate Monica, Dan and the Dallas Bid Committee and we stand ready, willing and able to play whatever role we need to assist with the planning and execution of this world-class championship experience."
