ARLINGTON, Texas – Two Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic alums are playing for the 2025 United Football League championship, going against each other on Saturday, June 14 at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis. Game time is set for 7 p.m. on ABC.
The Michigan Panthers and former Clemson placekicker B.T. Potter (83rd Classic) are taking on the DC Defenders and former Michigan State defensive back Montae Nicholson (80th Classic). Both franchises are seeking their first UFL title.
Nicholson made seven tackles, all solo, in the Spartans' 38-0 loss to Alabama in the first Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic played as a College Football Playoff Semifinal in 2015. Potter handled the kickoff duties for the Tigers in their 30-3 win over Notre Dame in the 83rd Classic, also a CFP Semifinal in 2018.
