ARLINGTON, Texas – Former Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic stars posted solid showings in the major college football all-star games that capped the 2024 season.

In the 2025 edition of the Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama's Tim Smith and Texas' Barryn Sorrell each recorded two tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss for the victorious American squad. Alabama's James Burnip averaged 43.0 yards in his two punts for the American team.

Southern California's Jonah Monheim and Jaylin Smith showcased their talents for the National team. Also for the National team, Florida's Jeremy Crawshaw averaged 42.7 yards on three punts.

Missouri's Armand Membou was set to play for the American squad but an illness sidelined him for the game.

In the 100th East-West Shrine Bowl played at AT&T Stadium, home of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Missouri's Johnny Walker Jr. recorded two sacks, three quarterback hits and one forced fumble for the victorious East squad. Walker closed out a stellar collegiate career that included earning Felix R. McKnight Defensive Most Valuable Player honors in the 88th Classic. Curtis Sanford Offensive Most Valuable Player completed six of nine passes for 69 yards.

Cook also saw time under center for Team Kai in the Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl. Alabama's Kneeland Hibbett was one of the two long snappers for the Trillion Tropical Bowl, playing for the National team.

A total of 11 Cotton Bowl Classic alums were on the rosters of four all-star games – Reese's Senior Bowl, East-West Shrine Bowl, Trillion Tropical Bowl and Caribe Royale Orlando Hula Bowl.
