ARLINGTON, Texas – The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic earned a gold recognition as the Best Annual Sports Event for the third-consecutive year from
The Dallas Morning News as a part of its 2024 Best in DFW Awards.
The annual awards competition is voted on by residents across the Dallas-Fort Worth footprint. The Classic earned the top honor in the Best Annual Sports Event subcategory under the Things to Do category ahead of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
The Cotton Bowl Classic has been a North Texas tradition since 1937. The game's decades of success have been built on diverse collection of civic leaders, long-standing partnerships and a loyal fan base that annually creates a sellout environment on game day.
The 2025 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the 89th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is set for Friday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN Radio. It will mark the 16th time the game is being played at AT&T Stadium.
