ARLINGTON, Texas – The 2023-24 National Football League conference championship games are set to have a strong Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic flavor with 19 alumni across the active rosters of the four participating teams.
The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens lead the way each with six Cotton Bowl Classic alums currently on their active rosters. All four teams vying for a chance to play for an NFL title boasts at one Classic alum on its active roster.
The Detroit Lions have two of its coaches who are also Classic alums – head coach Dan Campbell played for Texas A&M in the 62nd Classic in 1998 and assistant quarterbacks coach J.T. Barrett guided Ohio State to a win in the 82nd Classic in 2017.
Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for Sunday, Feb. 11 on CBS.
