BRISTOL, Conn. – The 88th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic between No. 9 Missouri and No. 7 Ohio State kicked off this year's lineup of New Year's Six bowl games with a bang, scoring 9.7 million viewers and being the most-watch non-College Football Playoff Semifinal Cotton Bowl Classic of the CFP era.
The 88th Classic, which saw the Tigers outlast the Buckeyes 14-3, was the most-watched standalone primetime New Year's Six bowl game since 2016. It was also the most-streamed college football game ever on ESPN+. This year's Classic peaked at 10.7 million viewers and ended up with an increase of 11 percent more viewers over the previous year.
