ARLINGTON, Texas - Oklahoma cornerback Tre Norwood was awarded the Felix McKnight Trophy for the Most Outstanding Defensive Player in the 85th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic as No. 6 Oklahoma defeated No. 7 Florida 55-20.

Norwood's 45-yard interception return for a touchdown on Florida's second offensive play gave the Sooners a 14-0 lead and set the defensive tone for OU.

The takeaway by the Big 12's co-leader in interceptions captured his second straight interception at AT&T Stadium, where the Sooners won their sixth straight Big 12 Championship just 11 days earlier.

Norwood, who also made two tackles in the game, finished as strong as the Sooners did as he made interceptions in three consecutive games and five interceptions over the last six games. The redshirt junior from Fort Smith, Ark., finishes the season with 23 tackles (13 solos), five interceptions and two pass breakups for Oklahoma (9-2), which ends the 2020 season on an eight-game winning streak.
