Juliana Ruiz joined the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association staff as a CBAA Fred McClure Intern in September 2026.
Ruiz is the 12th person to garner the title of CBAA Fred McClure Intern. In 2021, the CBAA revived and renamed its internship program in honor of Fred McClure, the first Black person to serve as CBAA Chair and the first person to serve two terms (1998-2002) in that role.
In his role, Ruiz serves in a diverse role working with all facets of the office and event operations, including administration, business operations, game/team operations, hospitality and various ticketing operational aspects in addition to supporting the day-to-day operations of the CBAA office and assist with operational aspects of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Cotton Bowl Foundation and community service events and initiatives and the regular-season college football games played at AT&T Stadium. The 2027 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 91st Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is her first Classic to work as a member of the CBAA staff.
Ruiz joined the CBAA staff from Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management in 2026. While in College Station, she worked for 15 months as an On-Campus Recruiting Assistant with the Aggies football program and nearly four years in various roles with Babe's Chicken Dinner House. In her role with the football program, she helped create a welcoming and professional experience for prospects and families during all home games, recruiting events and visits and assisted in planning and executing official and unofficial visits, preparing recruiting materials, coordinating logistics, and supporting game day operations in addition to managing documents and data used by the coaches and football staff. The Prosper, Texas, native was active on campus with the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Future Aggie Nurses organization and helped coordinate the 2024 Interfraternity Pickleball Tournament.
Ruiz resides in the Dallas area.
