Grace Froehlke joined the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association staff as a CBAA Fred McClure Intern in September 2026.
Froehlke is the 10th person to garner the title of CBAA Fred McClure Intern. In 2021, the CBAA revived and renamed its internship program in honor of Fred McClure, the first Black person to serve as CBAA Chair and the first person to serve two terms (1998-2002) in that role.
In her role, Froehlke assists in content creation on social media and digital platforms and various aspects of the overall communications strategy and media operations planning and execution in addition to supporting the day-to-day operations of the CBAA office and assist with operational aspects of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Cotton Bowl Foundation and community service events and initiatives and the regular-season college football games played at AT&T Stadium. The 2027 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 91st Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is her first Classic to work as a member of the CBAA staff.
Froehkle joined the CBAA staff following one year as Digital Media Assistant for Bowl Season. In that role, she oversaw a comprehensive cross-platform social media strategy during the regular season, bowl season and postseason, driving an average of 15.1 million daily views in-season. The Scottsdale, Ariz., native served as a Social Media Producer/Strategist for the 2025 and 2026 U.S. Tennis Opens, Broadcast Intern for the Arizona State University athletics department and social media roles with the United States Tennis Association and Syracuse University Annual Sports Charity Auction. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management with a minor in Emerging Sport Enterprises from the Syracuse University Falk College of Sport in 2025.
